协商民主不是舶来品,是中国共产党将马克思主义基本原理与中国革命、建设和改革的实践紧密相结合,独立探索民主道路和建构民主制度的创造性成果。在近代中国,选举民主没有生长起来,协商民主则得到较快的发展。半殖民地半封建国情的特殊政治生态、中国共产党统一战线思想、政党联盟的反专制斗争形式,构成协商民主生长的社会资源、理论资源和组织资源。中国的协商民主具有鲜明的特色,是社会主义民主政治发展的重要载体和社会主义政治文明建设的重要内容。

The consultative democracy is the CPC's creative achievement by closely combining Marxist basic theory with the practice in Chinese revolution,construction and reform,independently exploring the democratic way and establishing the democratic system.In modern China,the consultative democracy has developed rapidly while the election democracy did not grow up.The special situation in the semi-colonial and semi-feudal society,the CPC's ideology on United Front,and the anti-autocracy struggle by allied political parties constitute the social,theoretical and organizational resources for the development of consultative democracy.The consultative democracy in China has distinctive features,and is an important vehicle for the development of socialist democratic politics and the important content of socialist political civilization construction.
